This could be as simple as verifying your address. Instant approval does not necessarily mean instant credit. Your instant approval credit cards will still have to be mailed to you. Some companies may give you instant access to your credit card number and expiration date, which enables you to make online and telephone purchases before your card arrives. However, far more companies will make you wait until you receive your card in the mail. Many companies will allow you to do balance transfers, meaning that you transfer the balance from one or more credit cards to another. Some will allow you to fill out a balance transfer request during the application process.
